After School Clubs

Please see below an update on the after school clubs that are currently available - if your child would like to join one of the clubs, please complete the relevant form or contact the school office as soon as possible.

Thursday             Cookery (Yrs 1 and 2) FULL
Thursday             Quicksticks Hockey (KS2) run by the School Sports Partnership - spaces available - at risk of cancellation if no more children interested

Quicksticks Hockey Club

Your child’s primary school is part of the Cambridge School Sports Partnership, who are working with the Government’s School Games initiative to increase participation in high quality Physical Education and School Sport. Our Hockey Coach, Gaynor Fisher, will be running a new Quicksticks Hockey Club, for children at your child’s primary school.  Sessions will cover basic hockey skills and techniques, as well as fun activities. 
The club will run on a Thursday at Great Wilbraham Primary School from 3:20 until 4:30 for 10 weeks excluding half-term week, starting on 19th January 2012. There will be a small charge for the sessions of £2.50 per week making £25 in total, to be paid before the first session.  Please return the completed reply slip below with the full amount to your school office, by Wednesday 18th January (Cheques should be made payable to Netherhall School.)  Please mark the envelope ‘Cambridge SSP Hockey Club’ and write your child’s name on the back of the cheque.  Unfortunately we will not be able to refund any missed or cancelled sessions as the club is already heavily subsidised by the Partnership.

Your child should wear PE kit (with warm and water-proof layers on top), trainers for each session and bring a water bottle. MultiSports AfterSchool Club

Pulse Sport and Fitness are going to be starting a Multisport Club at Great Wilbraham Primary School. The club has been designed by Ollie in order for your child to have the opportunity to participate in an afterschool club and learn about lots of different kinds of sports.
The Club will be on a Tuesday Afternoon from 3:20-4:30 and will take place on the field or in the hall depending on numbers and the weather.
I would advise that your child brings clothing suitable to go outdoors, trainers or plimsolls will be perfect footwear and children should also have a drink for a quick break during the club.
There will be a very small charge for the club, £2.50 a session which you can pay on the day of the session or  for the whole course of 10 sessions in advance.
I would be grateful if you could fill in the form below with the details of your child and any relevant medical information that will be kept strictly confidential by Pulse Sport and Fitness.
The first session will begin on Tuesday 17th January 2012, please hand all reply slips into Mrs Crisp in the School Office by Wednesday 11th January so that we can see if the club is going to be viable.

Homework club - January 2011

Dear Parents,

We will be running a Homework club for the spring term starting on Friday 20th January from after school until 4.30pm.  It will give the children in key stage 2 the opportunity to get help and support with their homework as well as having access to computers and different research materials.  If you would like your child to attend homework club then please fill in the slip below.

Cookery Club - January 2012

Dear Parents/Carers,

Does your child like cooking? If the answer is yes then Cookery Club is for them. I will be running Cookery Club for Year 1 and 2 children on Thursday after school until 4.30pm. Unfortunately I will only be able to have 10 children for this club, so please return your slip as soon as possible. I shall confirm who has a place by Monday and send a list of ingredients your child needs to bring each week.

If your child signs up for cookery club they are committed to attending each week, otherwise their place will be given to a child on the waiting list.
