Mrs Latham's Blog:

Frdiay 13:30:
Held snakes, stroked owls, played with ferrets, all fingers and toes still present! Fantastic place. Had lunch and now on the way home. Children tired but happy! Homework for the weekend - long bath and a couple of early nights! Its been an amazing week with great instructors and fab children! Over and out!

Frdiay 10:45:
We are stroking a bat!

Frdiay 09:45:
Change of plan this morning as its pouring with rain. Were going to a sea life and animal rescue centre instead of the walk in the woods. All excited and looking forward to it. Just spending the last of the money at the little shop then were off!

Frdiay 08:15:
Had to wake them up this morning! Having breakfast then tackling packing! Will aim to bring everything back but cant guaruntee it will be in the right suitcase!

Thursday 19:30:
Nightclub in full swing. Girls dancing around handbags, boys at the other end of the room! Wonder if they will meet in the middle by the end?! Girls looking pretty in dresses and brushed hair, boys all seem to be wearing checked shirts. Loud girly screams as justin bieber is played aaaggghh...!

Thursday 16:45:
Ice creams at the cafe at the end of our beach walk. Found loads of fossils in the rock pools. All now planning outfits for the disco! We cant wait!!

Thursday 14:45:
Beautiful sunny day on the beach. Exploring rock pools and one or two children have found out the hard way what happens when you pick up crabs!

Thursday 13:15:
Eating lunch in the sun on Cromer pier. Life is good!

Thursday 11:20:
Team building skills improving - they are learning that listening to each other works better than all shouting at the same time!

Thursday 10:20:
Room inspection results- boys another perfect 10 both girls rooms improved to 7 and 8 and a half! Now doing team building activities - teams mixed boys and girls to mutual horror! Not much team work happening yet but its early days!

Thursday 08:45:
All in good spirits this morning after a good sleep. No footsteps heard til 7.30 as per instructions! Sung happy birthday to Veronica - first of many times i suspect! Currently having breakfast. New craze started amongst the children. They have folded their paper napkins into mitres, put them on their heads and are playing bishops!

Wednesday 22:30:
All in bed and quiet, think they are shattered after a long day. All children have had at least one shower - some after much persuasion but after the mud walk it was needed! Hopefully they will catch up on sleep and have a bit of a lie in tomorrow. Dire warnings of very grumpy teachers if we are woken earlier than our alarms!

Wednesday 18:00:
Amazing close up views of seals basking on the sand banks and swimming up to the boat. Tide turning and sea a bit choppy but no one sea sick - phew! Sadly no sign of the lemon sharks...

Wednesday 17:30:
Wild rumours circulating among the children that there are lemon sharks in the waters off Blakeney Point!

Wednesday 17:00:
We have just had a 10 minute lie down in the dunes on Blakeney Point after a long walk along the spit. Most peaceful part of the trip so far - lovely. Just going to see the old lifeboat station before waiting for our boat to take us to see the seals and take us back to morston and our coach. Children have walked miles with no complaints, they have been brilliant.

Wednesday 13:45
At last we are having lunch and are still relatively clean despite a few little trips in the mud! We loved the feeling of mud squelching between our toes mmm!

Wednesday 13:30:
We have just all taken off our shoes and socks and rolled up our trousers ready for the walk in the mud. Some with considerably more fuss than others! Here we go!

Wednesday 09:30:
Cooked breakfast went down a treat! Room inspection results for today: girls beavers room 8 out of 10, girls badgers room 6 out of 10, boys room 10 out of 10! Now getting ready for our day out on the mud flats and taking a boat to see the seals. Just about to do a teeth cleaning check!

Wednesday 06:50:
Do you struggle to get your children up in the morning? No such luck here! Breakfast isnt even til 8.30!

Tuesday 22:30:
All is quiet! Children were ready for their beds after a night time walk and campfire. Finished the evening with hot chocolate and a biscuit - tired but happy! Night all.

Tuesday 19:00:
Just finished a hearty three course meal! Lots and lots of clean plates and everyone (even the fussier eaters) has eaten well. Children having some 'chillax' time  before going out again for the twilight safari. Weather still clear and dry fingers crossed for tomorrow too.

Tuesday 16:00:
Exploring rock pools - have found crabs  mussels and jellyfish and even managed to keep our feet dry! Tide coming in now so nearly time to go back. Teachers seriously in need of a cup of tea! (bringing flasks tomorrow!)

Tuesday 14:45:
On the beach at Happisburgh. We can see the houses on the edge of the cliffs that are not long for this world. Debating whether sea defences should be strengthened or whether nature should be allowed to take its course. About a 50 50 split among the children at the moment. Off to Sea Pauling. Nice lady apparently!

Tuesday 12:00:
24 children 3 adults and one birthday cake arrived safely in one piece! Major excitement as we choose beds and unpack. Lunch next, the children are STARVING!
