Governors
The school's governing body is responsible for the overall management of the school, while delegating the day-to-day administration to the Head Teacher. The whole governing body meets twice a term, while various committees meet more regularly to discuss particular aspects of the running of the school. Each Governor is linked with a particular class, and individual Governors take responsibility for different areas, such as Child Protection, Literacy, Special Needs etc. Governors also make visits to the school, attend performances and accompany classes on visits. Minutes of the governors' meetings are available from the Clerk to the Governors, Jo Gardner and from the school office on request.
Our governors represent the community, and include representatives nominated by the parish (foundation governors), the local authority, the parents, the teachers and support staff. The governors all give freely of their time for the continuing benefit of the school. Below is our current list of governors: |
