Phoenix Personification Poems

The Christmas tree by Charlie

The Christmas tree holds its presents tight
As if they were her own
The star on her head shines with pride
The baubles shine around in the light.
The presents try to escape her mother
But every time she will draw them back,
It is now Christmas day the children wake up
And can’t wait to play.
It has come the time for the presents to be opened
They jump around in excitement
Once played with their toys all morning
It is now time for lunch and the toys are out of puff
And the adults are enjoying them selves.

The Boat by Joe

The boat cradled its cargo,
As the storm arouse,
The waves screamed,
As the hull cleaved them apart.

Men bailed out water,
As the wind whispered to them,
Suddenly the boats eye lit,
And the storm stopped.

The captain patted its hull,
The boat was old and weary
But still it went on…

The Unlucky Christmas Tree by Eliot

 The Christmas tree waits until
He holds the baubles
Hanging from his arms
Like a old poor servant,
His family gets so board
So they all start to play
Hide and seek.
He quietly waits for Christmas to come
For the scream
Of the children
To see what they found,
The star on the top
Shines like the sun
On his eyes
The Christmas tree
Is getting old
His flesh is falling
One by one…

Seasonal Tree by Lauren and Evie

Winter:
The Howling tree creaks
And groans
In agony
Amongst sorrowful, wailing winds.
A storm of tears
Lashes down
From the heavens;
Ripping bark off forlorn trees.
Scar shaped lightning
Streaks down,
Pulverising the terrain.
Its malformed body sways;
A boat at rough sea.
Our Depressed, Weather beaten tree.

Summer:
The sun streams down,
Enlightening its picturesque,
Quaint features.
Contented birds chirp happily,
Soaking in the luminescent sun.
Grass grows long,
Green and fertile;
Waving gently in placid breezes
Pools of deep,
Clear water sit,
Unmoving, underneath her boughs.
Bursting out in full bloom
Shoot fragile glass beads.
Our Blissful, Radiant tree.
